Eastern Mediterranean University Pharmacy Faculty Medical Microbiology program academic staff member Prof. Dr. Ahmet Celal Başustaoğlu received the honorable mention award from TÜBA-TEÇEP for the translation of ‘Clinic Microbiology Methods Handbook’. Awards were distributed in Ankara Rixos Hotel on 23 June 2014.
TEÇEP is organised annually to provide incentives for the publication of university level books in Turkish at international standards or for the translation of books serving for the same purpose into Turkish. With the translation of the “Clinic Microbiology Methods Handbook”, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Celal Başustaoğlu and Prof. Dr. Şinasi Taner Yıldıran received the ‘2014 Honorable Mention Award” in the “Copyright and Translation” category.
Talking about his award winning work, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Celal Başustaoğlu expressed the importance of the book in the field of Microbiology as it contains all relevant tests conducted in the relevant field. Prof. Dr. Başustaoğlu also stated that EMU is a prominent institution with high standards as it gives equal importance to education and research.
