EMU Business and Economics Faculty Postgraduate Programs Become Popular Amongst Staff in State Departments

Launched in Nicosia during the 2012-2013 Academic Year Spring Semester, Eastern Mediterranean University Business and Economics Faculty’s Banking and Finance (Turkish) Non-Thesis Postgraduate, Business Management (Turkish) Thesis-Non-thesis Postgraduate, Managerial Economics (Turkish) Non-thesis Postgraduate and Financial Economics (Turkish) Non-thesis Postgraduate programs are currently admitting students for the 2014-2015 Academic Year.  The programs which have been delivered in Nicosia since the 2012-2013 Academic Year received considerable attention from individuals employed at various state departments.  The aforesaid programs aim to provide an alternative for individuals who are currently employed both at private and the state sector and, at the same time, who would like to gain expertise in their respective fields of study. Similarly, EMU Education Faculty plans to offer postgraduate programs in Nicosia upon demand.

During the 2014-2015 Academic Year Fall Semester, a scholarship scheme will be implemented in postgraduate programs. All TRNC nationals who are employed at a state department will be offered  20% discount on their tuition fees specified for the postgraduate program they enroll during the aforesaid semester. The University also plans to offer the same discount to private sector employees if a protocol between their employer and the university is signed. 

The aforesaid programs have received considerable interest from state department employees as the the number admissions are increasing day by day. Those who previously registered to the programs expressed their contentment as well as the programs’ benefits for their professional lives.

Salih Dalcı:

Currently employed at the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Department of Antiquities and Museums as a museum officer,  Dalcı stated that he took up the opportunity offered by EMU without any hesitations. Dalcı put forth that he got admission for Business Management postgraduate program and expressed his happiness in receiving education from EMU as a prominent institution offering studies at high standards. Dalçı recommended EMU Postgraduate  programs to all state officers who wish to develop themselves in their respective fields of study.

Gülsen Çıntar:

Çıntar is employed as the customer representative at İNG Bank and enrolled in the Banking and Finance Postgraduate program. Expressing the convenience of the delivery of the program in Nicosia for working students, Çıntar expressed her satisfaction with the educational quality of the program. Çıntar believes that the education she is currently receiving will bring her success.

Tuğçe Kemik:

Kemik works at Creditwest Bank in Nicosia as a treasury expert and studies Banking and Finance Postgraduate program offered in Nicosia by EMU. Expressing her contentment with the program, Kemik also stated that she finished her undergraduate studies in the field of International Finance in EMU. Kemik believes that her studies at the postgraduate level will play an important role in her career.
