EMU Community Involvement Center Contributed to Animal Welfare

Another series of community involvement projects within the operations of Eastern Mediterranean University Community Involvement Center took place under the coordination of EMU Community Involvement Center Executive Board member Dr. Nazenin Ruso. The projects aimed to raise funds for stray animals on streets.

Student of EMU Emrah Öğredici organized a program on ADA TV to raise funds for stray animals on the streets. Donations were used for the purchase of dry food for stray animals by animal rights activist and EMU “Neuter, Vaccinate, Let Live” Project volunteer Fayka Güresun.  In the TV program, Öğredici  stated the benefits of animal love on humans through different perspectives such as the lowering of blood pressure levels and improving the conditions of heart patients.

EMU Community Involvement Center also organised another event with the participation of a group of students from EMU. Within the framework of the project, students contributed to the cleaning, maintenance and environmental improvement of the Famagusta zoo.
