EMU Entrance and Scholarship Exam to Be Held on 7 June 2016

Eastern Mediterranean University’s Entrance and Scholarship Exam for the high school graduates who are nationals of the TRNC and the Republic of Turkey (those who have graduated high school upon the completion of their education in an educational institution in TRNC after a period of 4 consecutive years of study) will be held in Famagusta and Nicosia between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 7 June 2016.  Applications for the exam may be submitted to EMU Registrar’s Office and EMU’s Exam Application Center in Nicosia as of 23 May 2016.  Candidates may also apply for the exam and, at the same time, submit the exam fee during registrations taking place within the framework of the high school visits..

The exam admission fee is 50 TL and can be deposited to EMU’s bank account (100640) at any branch of Cooperative Central Bank or may be paid during application at the EMU Exam Application Center in Nicosia.

During the exam application, nationals of the TRNC are required to submit a photocopy of their TRNC ID card, a bank statement, and 2 passport sized photos. Nationals of the Republic of Turkey who have completed their high school education in TRNC after a period of 4 consecutive years of study are expected to submit in a document certifying the completion of their high school studies in TRNC, a photocopy of the TR Identity Card, bank receipt and 2 passport sized photos. On the exam date, students are advised to be present at the exam venue with their ID cards and exam entrance document latest by 9:00 a.m.

EXAM SECTIONS AND SCORE TYPES

The exam will contain Mathematics, Science, Turkish, Social Sciences sections as well as the English Language Test and Visual Skills Test. Candidates are reminded that they should answer all four main sections of the exam and their scores for the Mathematics – Science (MS), Turkish – Mathematics (TM) and Turkish – Social Sciences (TS) will be calculated, accordingly. Additionally, if the candidates choose to do so, their scores for English Language, Visual Skills (VS), Music (M) and Sports (SP)  sections will be calculated separately.

SPECIAL SKILLS TESTS TO BE HELD BETWEEN 2 AND 6 JUNE 2016

Prior to the entrance exam which will be held on 7 June 2016, candidates who wish to study at programs with special skills test requirements are expected to take the said tests between 2 and 6 June 2016. To schedule a special skills exam, candidates are advised to contact the relevant department and get an appointment, accordingly.
