Eastern Mediterranean University was represented at Rotterdam Social Media Week, which took place between 14 and 18 September 2015. Attended by participants from 12 different countries, the 4-day event hosted discussions on state in social media, community, technology, innovation and brands. The event attracted government representatives from Europe, social media specialists, academics from universities, managers of large social media corporations, social media representatives, agencies and social media researchers.
EMU was represented at the said event by EMU Communication Faculty Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agah Gümüş and Institutional Communication and Social Media Unit Coordinator Senior Instructor Raziye Nevzat.
Nevzat stated that social media courses will be launched within EMU Communication Faculty and the frequency, volume and sustainability of the social media training delivered as part of the operations of EMU Continuing Education Cente will be increased.
