Successful Graduates of EMU Reunited in Antalya

Graduates of Eastern Mediterranean University from Antalya reunited at an organisation which took place in Akra Hotel in Antalya at 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, 12 November 2017. Organised by Eastern Mediterranean University Alumni Communications and Career Research Center, the event was attended by Vice Rector for International Affairs and Promotion Prof. Dr. Cem Tanova, EMU Alumni Communications and Career Research Center Director Derviş Ekşici, TRNC Ministry of Tourism Antalya Representative Habibe Elbasan, Tourism Coordinator Münir KORMAN, former Nairobi Ambassador of Turkey and Turkish Republic Ministry of External Affairs Antalya Representative Hüseyin Avni Aksoy, Antalya Constructors’ Association Chair Deniz KARATAŞ, President of Antalya Bar Association Polat BALKAN, Prime Minister’s Office Press and Information Antalya District Director Esen Diler, Antalya Commerce District Director Seval Yasak Dizerkonca and a crowded group of EMU graduates.

Cem Tanova

Vice Rector for International Affairs and Promotion Prof. Dr. Cem Tanova delivered a speech in the event and stated that EMU keeps updating the alumni database and aims to easily reach members of the alumni at different corners of the world.. Prof. Dr. Tanova also expressed his pride and pleasure in having the chance to come together with EMU graduates.

Derviş Ekşici

“EMU Introduces 81 Events in 81 Provinces”

In his address, Director of EMU Alumni Communications and Career Research Directorate Derviş Ekşici thanked all those who attended the event and provided information about EMU. Ekşici stated that since 1979, EMU has produced over 50,000 graduates and the number of EMU graduates from Antalya has reached 1,500. Ekşici said ‘the reference of a university are the students. You are at very important places and our reference. Ekşici added that EMU Alumni Communications and Career Research Directorate has launched a project titled “81 Events in 81 Provinces”. Highlighting the importance of the alumni for a university, Ekşici added that the Eastern Mediterranean University will regularly provide contexts bringing together its alumni.

Lefkara Frames Presented to Participants

During the organisation, EMU graduates President of Antalya Bar Association Polat Balkan, Commerce District Director Seval Yasak Dizerkonca, Civil Constructors Association Deniz Karataş, Mustafa Çağlar, Hüseyin Dinç and Emre Kurtdemir delivered speeches in which they shared their memories in EMU. At the end of the event, EMU Vice Rector for International Affairs and Promotion Prof. Dr. Cem Tanova and Director of EMU Alumni Communications and Career Research Directorate Derviş Ekşici  presented lefkara frames to former Nairobi Ambassador of Turkey, Representative of Turkey Ministry of Internal Affairs Hüseyin Avni Aksoy, Antalya District Commerce Director Seval Yasak Dizerkonca, Antalya Bar Association Chair Polat Balkan, Antalya Constructors’ Association Chair,  Deniz Karataş and TRNC Ministry of Tourism Antalya Representative Habibe Elbasan.
