Medical Imaging Techniques Associate Degree Program (Turkish) (A.D., 2 Years)

The fundamental aim of the 2-year Medical Imaging Techniques Associate Degree program is to bring up qualified health professional working in the radio-diagnosis field in coordination and collaboration with radiology specialists and other relevant health staff.

General Information

The program aims to graduate qualified radiology technicians who possess in-depth information in the preparation and positioning of the patient for medical imaging equipment and techniques such as conventional and digital X-ray, fluoroscopy, computerized tomography, mammography, gama camera, PET-CT and ultrasonography. The graduates of the program also have the skills to prepare the images obtained from medical imaging appliances as well as maintaining and repairing the relevant equipment.

Education

The program carries utmost importance both in the TRNC and the Republic of Turkey in catering for the demand for qualified medical imaging technicians. Prominent academicians from the universities in the Republic of Turkey have agreed to contribute to the program both by providing consultancy and actively delivering courses.

Students of the Medical Imaging Techniques Associate Degree Program benefit from computer laboratories equipped with modern facilities at world standards. Students are also given the privilege of benefitting from the Eastern Mediterranean University Library which is equipped with modern facilities, equipment and databases. Our University also provides an array of recreational opportunities for our students in the form of social, cultural and sports activities.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Medical Imaging Techniques Program receive the title of “Health Technician (Radiology Technician)”. Graduates may pursue employment opportunities at state and private hospitals as well as medical imaging centers and clinics.
