Andreas Lordos Participates in EMU Architecture and INTBAU Seminars

Eastern Mediterranean University Architecture Department organised another seminar as part of the series of academic seminars and conferences taking place in collaboration with INTBAU Cyprus. Experienced architect Andreas Lordos who has completed numerous successful and important projects in South Cyprus paid a visit to EMU Architecture Department.

After completing his studies in California Berkeley University, Andreas Lordos returned to Cyprus and received numerous awards for his famous projects. At the same time, Lordos is one of the executive board members of Nicosia British School and the head of Cyprus Natural Gas and Petroleum Association.

Within the framework of INTBAU, Lordos delivered a seminar in EMU Architecture Department on sustainable recycling and how to bring historical buildings back to life with correct steps. Stressing the importance of the preservation and protection of old Cypriot houses as part of our cultural heritage, Lordos also talked about the importance of sustainability and ecology as indispensable elements of architecture.

At the end of the seminar which attracted great interest, EMU Architecture Department chair Prof. Dr. Özgür Dinçyürek presented a plaque of appreciation to Andreas Lordos.
