Eastern Mediterranean University Signed a Protocol with Chef Academy

Eastern Mediterranean University settled a collaboration protocol with Chef Academy, the first and only culinary school in Ankara. The protocol covers the topics of offering certification programs  for students, carrying out work for internship practice and graduate employment opportunities, organising and taking part in culinary competitions and promoting the Cypriot cuisine and traditional anatolian cuisine. The protocol also includes further collaboration areas such as organising and hosting joint research and academic events, joint academic and cultural symposium, conferences, workshops and meetings as well as creating funds for scholarships.

Chef Academy started its activities in Ankara in 2012 as a professional and modern gastronomy school offering training on professional and amateur cooking, cake and chocolate, boutique confectionery, gluten free food production and cooking for children. The academy also offers sommelier and wine expert training which is currently not offered in our country. EMU Tourism Faculty will offer similar training through the prospective Wine Tasting Lab.

Certificates to be awarded following joint workshops, courses and professional training sessions to be organised by EMU Tourism Faculty and Chef Akademy will bear the signature of EMU Tourism Faculty.
