Organised by Eastern Mediterranean University Graduate Relations and Career Research Directorate (MIKA), in collaboration with academicians and experts in EMU, and in association with Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry and Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Mediterranean University’s 4th International Career Week is taking place between 28 March and 1 April 2016. Creating a platform bringing together professionals with the students of EMU, “International Career Week” will commence with opening addresses taking place at Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall at 10:00 a.m. on 28 March 2016. Following the opening speeches, Turkey’s Coca Cola General Director Lisani Atasayan will be delivering a presentation entitled “Expectations of Today’s Business World in the Career Path”.
EMU MIKA Director Derviş Ekşici stated that they are living the happiness and excitement of organising the 4th International Career Week in collaboration with faculties. Ekşici also put forth that hosting an increasing number of career professionals each year and looking forward to becoming a brand, this significant event will bring together students and prominent career professionals who possess in-depth experience in their chosen fields . Along with a series of seminars to be organised by faculties between 28 March and 1 April 2016, an array of employment and internship opportunities will be presented to you at the "Career Fair" taking place with the participation of more than 90 local and international firms on 1 April 2016.
On the first day of “International Career Week”, VIP Tourism Executive Board Chair Ceylan Pirinçcioğlu, Ankara Pediatric Health and Diseases Hematology and Oncology Education and Research hospital Nutrition and Dietetics Department Chief Dietitian Dr. Nevra Koç, Gazi University Microbiology Department academic staff member Prof. Dr. Meltem Yalınay, Afyon Karahisar State Hospital Anaesthesia General Coordinator Kemal Özkara, Chef Academy Turkey Chef Trainer Ramazan Ceylan, Kadir Albaş from Non-governmental Organisation Headquarters, Hacettepe University Health Sciences Faculty, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department academic staff member Prof. Dr. Mintaze Kerem Günel, Gökhan Aksoy and Tunahan Erdağ from Gökhan Aksoy Architecture and Deputy General Director Özge Şirikçi from Bridgestone Europe will be sharing their experiences with the students of EMU.
On 1 April 2016, the official opening of the “4th Career Fair” taking place with the participation of over 90 firms offering numerous internship and career opportunities for students will be held at Lala Mustafa Paşa Sports Center at 10:00 a.m. on 1 April 2016.
