Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), International Office organized an event entitled “1st Jordan Night” at EMU Rauf Raif Denktas Culture and Congress Palace.
The event commenced with a cocktail party with a high participation rate and among the participants was Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Majid Hashemipour and various faculty members.
The event began with the Jordan National Anthem. After the national anthem, EMU Jordan Student Society President Dr. Fıras Zawaydeh delivered the opening speech. After a short video introduction of the history of Jordan, students read Arabic Poems, played tambourines and performed dance routines.
A fashion show was held at the event showcasing some of the best traditional clothing of Jordan.
The event was concluded with a ceremonial cake cutting and an Honour and a High Honour Certificate ceremony delivered by EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullah Y. Öztoprak and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Majid Hashemipour
