Eastern Mediterranean University Communication Faculty hosted Chimene Suleyman, the Co-editor of Sunday Times Bestseller “The Good Immigrant”. Delivered by famous author Chimene Suleyman, the seminar took place at Communication Faculty Purple Hall at 2:45 p.m. on Monday, 16 December 2019. Chimene Suleyman, who was also born in Cyprus, talked about race politics, identity and migration in her seminar, which lasted about three hours. Visit to EMU Rector
Before the seminar, Chimene Suleyman paid a visit of courtesy to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam. EMU Communication Faculty Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Metin Ersoy and New Media and Journalism Department academic staff member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hanife Aliefendioğlu were also present at the said visit. Rector of EMU Prof. Dr. Osam thanked famous author Chimene Suleyman, who lives in New York, for her seminar at EMU Faculty of Communication. During the visit, Suleyman's book and journalism were discussed. At the end of the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam gave Chimene Suleyman a gift from EMU.
