With the aim of raising awareness on the World Choral Day, Eastern Mediterranean University Education Faculty, Fine Arts Education Department, Music Teacher Education Program is giving a mini concert at the yard of EMU Rector’s Office at 3:30 p.m. on 5 December 2014.
Declared as the World Choral Day by IFCM (International Federation for Choral Music), ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) and UNESCO, 8 December World Choral Day is celebrated through concerts taking place at different places throughout the world.
EMU Fine Arts Education Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Gorgoretti and academic staff members will be attending the concert which will be taking place under the conductorship of EMU Fine Arts Education Department Music Teaching Program academic staff member and chorus conductor Erkan Dağlı. The concert will feature pieces from world chorus literature along with Turkish and Cypriot folk songs.
