Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Hocanın released a statement regarding the fire disasters affecting the districts of Antalya, Osmaniye, Mersin and Kayseri in Turkey and, the flash floods affecting the districts of Trabzon, Rize, Ordu, Giresun, Samsun and Artvin in Turkey.
“We are deeply saddened about the fire and flood disasters that affected different districts in Turkey causing deaths and injuries, damages to homes, workplaces and vehicles of the members of the society. As the Eastern Mediterranean University, we extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families of those perished and wish a speedy recovery for those who have been injured and affected by the disasters. We hope that such disasters would not happen again.”
