EMU Signed a Collaboration Protocol with TRNC Ministry of Internal Affairs

A Collaboration Protocol regarding the fulfilment of services demanded by TRNC Ministry of Internal Affairs and Labor has been signed between the said ministry and Eastern Mediterranean University. A protocol signature ceremony took place at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Labor with the participation of Minister of Internal Affairs Asım Akansoy and EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam.

In his address during the ceremony, Minister of Internal Affairs and Labor Asım Akansoy stated that within the vision of an effective, productive and solution-oriented public administration catering for the demands of all citizens, they settled the said protocol with Eastern Mediterranean University. Akansoy added that through the protocol, they hope to increase the quality and the productivity of services provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Labor.

Expressing their faith in EMU’s quality and potential, Akansoy stated that his ministry will receive consultancy services from EMU regarding the informatics systems of the Ministry. Akansoy also put forth that they will also develop pilot practices by forming village development models in areas determined by the Ministry. In this respect, EMU will provide expert support in the said issues through research and needs analysis. Akansoy also added that their Ministry is also ready to provide support and help for EMU in line with rules and regulations.

EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam expressed his pleasure in establishing collaborations with the Ministry of Interior Affairs and Labor. Osam added that within the framework of the protocol, EMU will provide educational services to the said Ministry and increase the quality of its services, accordingly. The collaboration protocol will be valid for two years following the date of its signature.
