With the inauguration of the new fitness hall in EMU Lala Mustafa Paşa Sports Center on 9 April 2014, Eastern Mediterranean University has yet added another venue to its sports facilities. The new hall inaugurated by EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullah Y. Öztoprak will provide extensive sports services for students and the local community. Among notable names who attended the opening ceremony were Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Osman Yılmaz, Vice Rector for Student Services and Social and Cultural Affairs Prof. Dr. Ülker Vancı Osam and academic and administrative staff members.
