Environmental Politics (PADM214)

The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the major concepts, ideas and issues of Environmental Politics e.g about contemporary environmental political movements. Explores the roots of modern environmentalism; the role of ecological values in domestic and international politics; and the scientific, legal and ethical considerations in environmental politics; also considered, green politics; anthropocentrism; ecocentrism; biocentrism; sustainable development; deep ecology and animal rights.
