Famagusta Harbour
Organised by Famagusta Mariners’ Union, “3rd Traditional Famagusta Marine Festival” is taking place with the contributions of Famagusta Municipality and Eastern Mediterranean University at 12:00 o’clock on Saturday, 14 March 2015. During the aforesaid festival, various units of EMU will be opening stands at the festival venue.
Organised with the aim of motivating the Famagusta community to become more interested in sea and marine life, the festival will invite the public to use the coastline more effectively. Following the start of the festival, EMU Tourism Faculty Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department will be offering fish delicacies to public.
At 2:00 p.m., Famagusta Mariners Union Chair Gürsel Ataoğlu, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Osam and Famagusta Mayor and President of the Board of Trustees İsmail Arter will be delivering speeches. The festival will be offering entertainment opportunities to festival lovers all day long through various activities and competitions as well as food/bevergage stands.
