Organised by Eastern Mediterranean University in collaboration with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ministry of National Education, 6th Promotion Days commenced at EMU Lala Mustafa Paşa Sports Center on 26 April 2016.
On the first day of the said organisation, the university hosted high schools from Nicosia and Kyrenia regions, namely Anafartalar High School, Bülent Ecevit Anatolian High School, Nicosia Turkish High School, Haspolat Vocational High School and Anatolia Fine Arts High School.
On the second day of the said organisation, the university hosted high schools from Famagusta and Iskele Regions, namely Namık Kemal High School, Famagusta Vocational High School, Famagusta High School of Trade, Dr. Fazıl Küçük Industrial Vocational High School, Cumhuriyet High School, Erenköy High School, Polatpaşa High School and İskele High School of Trade.
Within the framework of the 6th EMU Promotion Days which will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on the said days, participating students will be taking part in various interesting organisations along with academic activities. During the promotion days, students will have the opportunity to discover the student profile and campus life of Eastern Mediterranean University, an institution which offers study opportunities to 20,000 students from 106 countries. Students will also be presented information on academic units, career choices and plans.
In a press release on the first day of the 6th Promotion Days, Vice Rector for International Relations and Promotion Prof. Dr. Hasan Amca stated that Eastern Mediterranean University boasts around 20,000 students from 106 different countries of the world. Putting forth that through EMU’s Promotion Days students have a better chance to explore EMU, Prof. Dr. Amca added that the important issue is to give successful students, not everyone, the opportunity to pursue their studies at EMU as students as such will bring success in every aspect.
