Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Pharmacy and the EMU Pharmacy Students Association (EMUPSS), operating under the International Student Activity and Student Societies Unit, organized a Magistral Medicine Production Competition. Majistral medicine is known as the name given to the medicines that are not readily available in pharmacies but are prepared by pharmacists in pharmacies according to the formula prescribed by the doctor.
During the said event, after EMU Pharmacy Students Association President and International Pharmacy Students Federation (IPSF) EMU Representative Ayşe Hark and Senior Instructor Mustafa Alhadi explained the rules, students were asked to prepare magistral prescriptions in accordance with the preparation rules given to them.
As a result of the evaluation made by Assist. Prof. Dr. Hasip Cem Özyurt and Senior Instructor Emine Dilek Özyılmaz in 3 different categories, namely preparation, packaging and labeling, Elnaz Sadi and Furkan Seçkin came first, while Marwa Al Ahmad qualified for the second place. At the end of the competition, a certificate of participation was presented to all participants.
