BESD500 Nutrition and Dietetics Thesis

The course aims to enable students to gain advanced knowledge by doing scientific research in interested nutrition and dietetics topics.

BESD502 Advanced Nutrition I

The aim of the course is to give advanced information about the function of the energy and macro nutrients and to define metabolic disorders seen in deficiency and excess intake.

BESD503 Advanced Nutrition - II

The course provides advanced level information about the function of micro nutrients and water in the body. Metabolic disorders related to excess and deficient intake of micro nutrients and water will be also defined.

BESD504 Nutritional Anthropometry

This course covers assesment of body fat, fat free mass tissue, height, weight, skinfold, nutritional status, bioelectric impedance analyse and laboratory sessions. Objective of the course is to teach students correct nutritional antropometic assessment and evaluation methods.

BESD505 Research Methods in Health Sciences

Methods, laboratuary practices and evaluation methods used in nutritional researches will be discussed. It is aimed to teach students will learn different techniques to asses nutritional status.

BESD598 Nutrition and Dietetics Seminar

Current scientific studies on nutrition and dietetics will be searched, reviewed, discussed and presented by students.
